James C. Greer

James C. Greer, age 82 of 677 Anderson Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 28, 2005 at the Mountain City Care Center. A native of Carter County, Tennessee, he was born on June 25, 1923 to the late Isaac and Cindy Greer. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by four brothers: Roosevelt, Harley, Nicodemas and Clyde Greer and one sister, Beulah Eggers. James was a retired farmer and also enjoyed making grapevine stands. . James is survived by his wife of 35years, Lena Snyder Greer of the home; one son, Billy James Greer of Mountain City, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Bobby Greer, B.J. Greer, Noah Greer, Carla Greer and Tiffany Greer and two nieces: Mary Alice Herdman and Danetta Eggers, both of Mountain City, Tennessee. Funeral Services for James C. Greer will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Stidham to officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to Services. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearer is Dr. Donald Walters.
