Obituary for James Elwood Isley: James Elwood Isley, age 83, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at High Point Regional Medical Center. James was born to the late Oadist and Blanche Boone Isley in Alamance County, NC. James was a manager for Burlington Industries for 45 years, retiring in 1988. He was a Navy Veteran during peace time. James was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Thomasville and he was a Mason. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a brother Alvin Isley. Survivors include: Wife: Marian Scales Isley High Point, NC Son: Eddie Isley High Point, NC Daughter: Joan Isley Heilig and husband Lee High Point, NC Grandchildren: Kelsi Heilig Grace and husband Stephen Logan Elizabeth Isley Cameron Brooks Isley Nephew: Butch Isley Niece: Linda Fogleman Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Thomasville. Burial will follow in the Bellemont United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4038 Markwood Dr., Burlington, NC 27215. Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. on Tuesday at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Avenue in High Point. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 1393 Hasty School Rd., Thomasville, NC 27360.
