James "Jc" Vanover

It is with great sadness that the family of James Charles “JC” Vanover announces his passing on Sunday, January 2,2022 in Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born May 16, 1964 to the late Matthew and Ellaree Vanover. JC loved taking care of people. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers: Earl Vanover, Loyd Vanover, Arvil Vanover, Kenneth Vanover and Dayton Vanover. Those left to cherish his memory include two sisters: Karen Davis and husband Howard of Lansing, NC and Debbie Vanover of Mountain City, TN; two brothers: David Vanover and wife Susan of Kansas and Johnny Vanover of Johnson City, TN. Several nieces, nephews and special friend Steve Norris also survive. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Hux & Lipford Funeral Home East Side Chapel with PreacherTerry Woods officiating. Music will be provided by Betty Brewer. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11-00 a.m. prior to the service. Inurnment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
