James "Jim" Hodges

James M. "Jim" Hodges, age 76, of Dotson Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, at his home. Mr. Hodges is survived by his wife Jimma Lou Culler Hodges of the home; two sisters, Jane Main and husband Ronda of Granite Falls, and Joann Crump and husband Jerry of Lenoir, and a special sister-in-law, Lana King of Mountain City. He is also survived by a number of special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who loved him. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul Washington Hodges and Lillie Mae Shore Hodges, and one sister, Jean Eggers, and brother-in-law, Blaine. Funeral services for James M. "Jim" Hodges will be conducted Sunday afternoon, February 17, 2013, at 2:00, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state, at the chapel, from 12:30 until 2:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Pastor Wynn Greer and Reverend David Hankal. Military graveside rites and burial, provided by American Legion Post 130 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 90, will follow in Jont Brown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, from 12:30 until 2:00 o'clock, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
