James Daniel "Jim" Sisk, age 60, of 455 Hospital Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2003 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Johnson County, he was born March 16, 1943 to the Late Malcom Curtis and Annie McNealy Sisk. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Loretta "Tootie" Sisk and one sister Annie Ruth. Jim was a furniture maker for Broyhill, where he was employed for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, music, birds and dogs, collecting cars and was an active member of the First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher. Jim is survived by two daughters; Hattie Annie Garland of Fish Springs, Tennessee and Crystal Gail Pope of Villas, North Carolina, two sons; Burl Malcom Sisk and Warren Daniel Sisk, both of Mountain City, Tennessee, four sisters; Martha, Sue, Mary Beth and Catherine, two brothers; Tommy and Robert Terry, three Grandchildren; Janie Danielle Sisk, Starre Nichole Garland and Sheyeanne Anniebelle Pope, several nieces and nephews, special friends Harry Wills, Norm Reece and many, many more. Funeral Services for James Daniel "Jim" Sisk will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, November 03, 2003 from the First Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Reece and Brother Harry Wills to officiate. Music will be under the direction of the First Baptist Church Choir. Family will receive friends 2-4:00 p.m. prior to services at the church. Graveside Services will follow at the Phillippi Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Employees of Broyhill-Harper Furniture. Honorary Pallbearers are the Deacons of the First Baptist Church.
