James Curtis Morefield

James Curtis Morefield, age 52, of 165 Hamby Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2008 at Tacoma Regional Hospital in Greeneville, Tennessee. He was born October 22, 1955 to the late James Charles and Marie Arnold Morefield. Mr. Morefield was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and his hobbies included coin collecting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Barry Morefield.

Survivors include: one daughter, Starr Morefield of Butler, Tennessee; two sisters: Wanda Morefield of Mountain City, Tennessee and Vonda Davis of Greeneville, Tennessee; two brothers: Bill Morefield and wife Linda of Mountain City, Tennessee and Paul Morefield and wife Angela of Oliver Springs, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Casey, Megan and Clara; special nieces; Cecilia and Kay Harper. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for James Curtis Morefield will be conducted Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Steele and Rev. David Bentley officiating. Graveside services and interment will be Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hamby, Larry Dunn, Clint Dunn, Frank Main, Keith Main and Charlie Morefield. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. prior to the services.

At other times, friends may call at the residence of the daughter, 133 Loan Meyer Road, Butler, Tennessee.
