James David Phillippi

James David Phillippi, age 70, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN. He previously worked for Iron Mountain Stoneware. His hobbies were woodworking and birds. He was born May 22, 1945 to the late Gervis Phillippi and Christine Lefler Phillippi. He was also preceded in death by a cousin, the late Carolyn Johnson. Survivors include: one daughter, Lisa and husband Jacky Trent, Glade Springs, VA; an Aunt Elsie Johnson and special Aunt Bea Williams, Mountain City, TN; two cousins Randy Harper and Jack Johnson; two grandchildren, Brittany Howard, Chilhowie, VA and David Logan Trent, Gladespring, VA; two great grandchildren, Haden Bailey and Josiah Bailey. A private service for James David Phillippi will be Sunday, November 29, 2015 and private graveside will be from the Lefler Cemetery.
