Janice Marie Ruddy

Janice Marie Ruddy, age 65, of 1016 Chestnut Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2004 following an extended illness. A native of Trade, Tennessee, she was born September 23, 1938 to the late James Hobert Reece and Maggie Miller-Reece. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ruddy; one son, John Regan Ruddy and two brothers, Dennis Reece and Wheeler Reece. Janice was a 1956 Graduate of Johnson County High School. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Janice enjoyed gardening, flowers and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Janice is survived by one daughter, Denise Reece of the home; one son, Wayne Reece of Mountain City; one sister, Polly Breaux of Mountain City; two brothers, Carl Reece of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania and Shelton Reece of Boston, Massachusetts; two grandsons, three granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Janice will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Daniel Little to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to Services at the Funeral Home. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004 from the Zionville Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. Honorary Pallbearers are: Members of the Johnson County Rescue Squad, ER Staff of the Johnson County Health Center and Dr. Buddy Clayton. At other times, friends may call at the residence.
