She was born July 29, 1975, to the late James Wolfe and Carolyn Wolfe of Butler, Tennessee. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Lawrence Wolfe, and maternal grandparents, Chester and Sophia Howard. Mrs. Carroll was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a former church pianist. Her hobbies included arrowhead hunting. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Benny Carroll; one daughter, Haylee Wolfe, of the home; one son, James Colten Carroll, of the home; paternal grandmother, Hassie Wolfe, of Mountain City; and several cousins. Funeral services for Janie Carroll will be conducted 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25. 2007, from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Manuel officiating. Family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the services. Graveside services and burial will be conducted Thursday, April 26, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. in the Shoun McEwen Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected friends. At other times, friends may call at the residence of her mother, Carolyn Wolfe, 149 Sawmill Lane, Butler, Tennessee.
