Janine "Tikki" Norris, age 42, of 1168 South Shady Street Apt 206, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. She was born on October 16, 1963 in Paris, France to Al Lawson of Mountain City, Tennessee and the late Ilene W. Lawson, who passed away on October 6, 2005. Tikki was a 1982 Graduate of Johnson County High School. She was a former Sunday School Teacher at the First Assembly of God and was a Prayer Warrior for God and a member of the Ladies Prayer Group at various churches. Tikki was a member of the Victory Chapel Cowboy Church and a member of the Church Choir. She was a loyal fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to her father, Tikki is survived by her husband, Kirk Norris of the Home; two daughters and son-in-law: Brittany Denise Townsend and husband Joseph "Joey" of Trade, Tennessee and Bethany Marie Pennington of Mountain City, Tennessee; three sisters: Cathy Zingler and husband Gary of Marietta, Georgia, Leta Dorman and husband Gary of Mountain City, Tennessee and Missy Cornett and husband Charlie of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; two brothers: John Alexander and wife Nancy of Mountain City, Tennessee and PD Lawson and wife Sandy of Mountain City (Doe Valley), Tennessee; one grandson, Jason Adam Teague and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Janine "Tikki" Norris will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2005 from the Victory Chapel Cowboy Church with Rev. Ron Drake and Rev. Carroll Hayworth to officiate. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2005 from the Gambill Springs Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Bronson Alexander, Jeremy Alexander, Charlie Cornett, Jake Dorman, Zack Dorman and Brandon McCoy. Honorary Pallbearer is Rev. Jerry Hames. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble by 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Church to leave in procession to the Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to Services at the Church. At other times, friends may call at the residence 1168 South Shady Street - Apt. 206, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683 and/or at the residence of her father, Al Lawson, 630 Maple Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tikki Norris Memorial Fund, 630 Maple Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
