Jason Greer

Jason Earl Greer, age 75, of 444 Willen Gap Road, Mountain City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2006. A native of Johnson County, he was born June 16, 1930 to the late Elbert and Girdie (Dunn) Greer. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brother-in-laws, Howard and W.A. Blackburn, and one sister-in-law, Lexie Blackburn. Jason was a United States Army Veteran and was retired after working several years in the construction industry. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Alaska, Ward 4. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Georgia Greer; one son, Earl Dean Greer; one step-daughter, Carly Heaton, Hampton, TN; three step-sons: Frank Perkins, Butler, TN, Haskel Grady Perkins, Mountain City, TN, and Robert Perkins, Butler, TN; seven step-grandchildren: Waco Perkins, Jacob Perkins , Chris Perkins, Tammy Heaton, Angela Heaton, Sharon Heaton, and Renee Heaton; and one special friend, William O'Brien. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2006, from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Stidham to officiate.
