J.D. Trivette, age 89, of Mountain City, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at the residence of his daughter, Janie. He was born October 14, 1935 to the late John Trivette and Roann Johnson Trivette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herman Trivette and Ed Trivette; sisters, Christine Trivette and Ruth Canter, grandson, Chace Ellis and his ginseng hunting buddy, Glen Trivette.
J.D. was a United States Army Veteran having been stationed in Munich Germany at Camp Dachau. He loved his time Germany. He was a member of Rock Springs Church of Christ. J.D. was a God fearing man, always setting a good example for everyone. He loved ginseng hunting, working around his house and shop.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sandra Moretz Trivette; daughters, Chris (Mark) Fletcher and Janie (Rick) Ellis; son, John Trivette; sister, Rita Roten, grandchildren, Patrick, T.J (Beth), Whitney, Joe, Erica, Logan and Jacob; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Earl Trivette.
A graveside service for J.D. will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Park with Bubba Cannon to officiate. Military honors will follow accorded by The Johnson County Honor Guard.
