Jean Ann Nicoletti Raymond

March 8, 1936 — June 23, 2022

Jean Ann Nicoletti Raymond, born March 8, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, died June 23, 2022, in her daughter's home in Mountain City, TN, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She and her husband Mark had lived in Hendersonville, NC, for the last 60 years, after moving there from Chicago. Jean was a wonderful wife and mother, an excellent gardener of flowers, a lover of music and singing, an avid hiker and camper, and she and Mark raised 3 daughters. Her goal in life was to bring joy and happiness to all she met, and she has left a legacy of peace, love, and singing. Jean lost her beloved husband Mark in April 2022 and missed him dearly, after almost 65 years of marriage. She is survived by her 3 daughters: Michele (Skip) Skeele of Hendersonville, NC; Carol (Tim) Russom of Mountain City, TN; and Catherine (Tomas) Raymond-Koenig of Saluda, NC. She has 6 grandchildren: Brit Skeele, Jeremy Clark, Dallas (Madi) Skeele, Risa Koenig (Matt) Shelnutt, Anna Koenig (Chad) Hamilton, and Lena Koenig. She has 3 great-grandchildren: Ezra, Stefan, and Caspian, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother: Michael (Alicia) Nicoletti. Jean will always be remembered for her love of singing, her love of the outdoors and her flower gardens, and her continuous love of her family and 3 daughters. Her wish was to be cremated and a memorial for both Jean and Mark will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Jean to her favorite organizations, Nature Conservancy, or flowers can be planted in her honor.
