Jeffery Lunceford

Jeffery Lunceford, age 67, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born on October 3, 1957, in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late Gordie Lunceford and Clara Anderson Lunceford.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several  aunts and uncles. 

Jeffery was a graduate of the Johnson County High School Class of 1975. He embarked on a successful career as an over-the-road truck driver, serving the industry with pride for over 40 years. During his tenure, he worked with Hicks Brothers Trucking and Dennis Cook Trucking,

Beyond his career, Jeffery is remembered for his passion for trucking, motorcycles, and country music. His love for the open road and the thrill of riding resonated deeply with those who knew him.

Jeffery leaves behind his family, including his son, Jeremy Lunceford (Rachel), of Colbert, Oregon, as well as his brothers, Ray Lunceford (Lisa) and David Lunceford (Becky), both of Mountain City, Tennessee; his special friend, Louie Wasson; his three grandchildren, Nathanial, Gracie, and Ellie May and several nieces and nephews, two aunts, and one uncle.

A funeral service for Jeffery will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Tony Potter officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM prior to the service. A graveside service will immediately follow at The Wilson Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Fritts, Sawyer Main, Jonathan Lunceford, Adam Lunceford and Michael Lunceford.

Honorary. pallbearers are Dr. Mica Brown, Jeremy Lunceford, Dennis Cook, Macey Dugger and David Wilson.
