Jerry Wayne Brown, age 48, of 929 Fall Branch Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Sunday, May 18, 2003 at the Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness. Mr. Brown was a native of Trade, Tennessee and was born August 17, 1954 to the late Frank L. and Madge Potter Brown. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois McMahan. Survivors: (1) Daughter: Jennifer Ramos, Coatsville, Pennsylvania (1) Son: Tim Brown, Mountain City, Tennessee (3) Sisters: Nancy Hughes, Mountain City, Tennessee Sue Greer, Creston, North Carolina Pat Thomas, Zionville, North Carolina (2) Brothers: Barton Brown, Rising Sun, Maryland Jim Brown, Mountain City, Tennessee (4) Grandchildren: Timothy Wayne Brown, Jr. Tiffany Brown Victoria Ramos Ashley Ramos Several Nieces and Nephews Special Friends: Randy Cunningham, Linda Wilson, Jim Moody, and Lynn Lawrence Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Brown will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Wilson to officiate. Graveside service will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday from the Zionville Baptist Church Cemetery in Zionville, North Carolina. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 9:30 A. M. to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Greer, Carl Greer, Tim Greer, Lynn Lawrence, Jim Moody, and David Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be David Ellison and Scott Robbins. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday prior to the funeral service.
