Jerry Lee Fenner, age 58, of 571 Pleasant Valley Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2005 following a lengthy illness. A native of Maitland, West Virginia, he was born on January 13, 1947 to the late Robert and Mattie Richardson Fenner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lora J. Lowe. Jerry was of the Baptist faith and had attended Berea Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, baseball and his family. Jerry is survived by three sisters: Betty Pardue and husband James, Ruby Gilbert and husband Darrell, all of Mountain City, Tn and Becky Carroway and husband Bob; one brother, Dave Fenner, all of Morganton, NC; a special niece, Tammy and husband Danny McElyea, of which Jerry made his home with; six more nieces and four nephews also survive.. Visitation for Jerry will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will be held Thursday from the Rainbow Cemetery with Pastor James Pardue to officiate. Active Pallbearers will be: Steve Pardue, Jeff Fenner, Jimmy Lowe, Art Lowe, Chris McElyea and Tom Jennings. Honorary Pallbearer is: Dr. Buddy Clayton. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Jerry's niece, Tammy McElyea, 571 Pleasant Valley Road, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
