Jerry Garr, age 53, of 3170 Dawley Road, Ravenna, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center of Cleveland, Ohio following an extended illness. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 4, 1951 to Ray Garr of Lore City, Ohio and to the late Ina Mae Ward-Garr, who passed away in 1972. In addition to his mother, Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Garr. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. Jerry's hobbies included Harley Davidson Motorcycles and Art. In addition to his father, Jerry is survived by one son, Jerome Chagaris of Louisville, Kentucky; three sister, Joyce Potter of Mountain City, Tennessee, Loretta Sisi of Port Clinton, Ohio and Linda Mayne of Ravenna, Ohio; three grandchildren and special friends, Marlene Alborn and Chelsea Alborn, both of Akron, Ohio. Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Jerry will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Morefield to officiate. Military Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2004 from the Wesley Chapel Cemetery and will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends of Jerry. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to Services, at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Jerry's sister, Joyce Potter, 155 Rine Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
