Jessie Howard Dugger

Jessie Howard Dugger, age 78, of 504 Patterson Hill Road, Blountville, TN and formerly of Butler, TN passed away at his residence Wednesday, August 20, 2014. He was born March 20, 1936 to the late Dave and Della Richardson Dugger. He was a member of Bakers Gap Baptist Church. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandson David Dugger and one brother J. E. Dugger. Survivors include: his wife, Grace Hallie Reece Dugger, of the home; three daughters: Nancy Dugger of Floyd, VA; Linda Jaynes of Limestone, TN; and Brenda Cox of Bluff City, TN; three sons: Mark Dugger, of the home; Jessie Dugger and Danny Gentry both of Bluff City, TN; one sister: Melba Smith, Piney Flats, TN; two brothers: Junior "June" Dugger of Gray, TN and Boyd McArthur Dugger of Jamestown, KY. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral with Rev. Jeff Millsaps officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Bakers Gap Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J. J. Dugger, Charles Dugger, Danny Gregg,, Bobby Gregg, Ben Cox and Austin Glover. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Glover and Rick Daniels.
