Jim Ferguson age 66, of 141 Main Street Butler, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday March 27, 2013 in Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late Kelly B. Ferguson and Mary Francis Willis Edwards. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by parents, brother Larry Ferguson and special grandson Ryan Overstreet. Jim was a man who put family and friends first. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He loved his country and was a very patriotic person. He loved being outdoors, fishing, mowing, or just sitting on a porch talking and joking with others. He never met a stranger. His advice to his kids was always be kind to others and always keep your word - it's all you have and you are only as good as that word. Jim had many friends and family who will miss him greatly. Survivors include: his wife, Jane Ferguson, of the home; four daughters: Wendy Davis, Jamie Lewis, Shannon McFadden and husband Lloyd, and Debbie Overstreet; one son: James Overstreet and wife Jean; sisters: Susie Howell and husband Vern and Betty Clark and husband Fred, all of CA; brother: Roger Ferguson and wife Nancy of CA; four grandsons: Bryan Clark, William Breedan and Michael Overstreet; six grandchildren; five nieces; 1 nephew; and special friends Doris and Bill Harry and Liz Hughes. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Military graveside service will follow in Sunset Memorial Park accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Overstreet, Michael Overstreet, Lloyd McFadden, Jacob McFadden, Bryan Clark, William Breedan and Craig Tester. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Harry, Roger Winebarger, Albert Thomas, Bud Greene, Burl Stout, Curtis Williams and Bob Stout.
