Jo Ann M. Wallace, age 57, of 1128 Drakes Creek Road, Trade, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2003 at the Watauga Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born May 13, 1946 to the late Noah and Nancy Mae Regan Miller and was a native of Trade, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Martin Miller. Jo Ann was a former employee of Mountain City Glove and Appalachian State University and enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia. She was a member of the Mountain City Church of Christ. Survivors: Loyd Wallace, of the home (1) Daughter: Julie Marie Wallace, of the home (1) Son: John Neal Wallace, of the home (2) Sister: Earleen Arnold, Mountain City, Tennessee Sula Bonner, Carlton, Georgia (2) Brothers: Ronald Miller, Trade, Tennessee Howard Miller, Creston, North Carolina Special Friends: Glady's Brown, Keeta Norris, Billie Jo Main, Zionville, NC Several Nieces and Nephews. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Jo Ann M. Wallace, age 57, of 1128 Drakes Creek Road, Trade, TN will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at 8:30 p.m. from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Mr. Darrell Broking to officiate. Family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. prior to services. Active Pallbearers will be: Richard Miller, Eric Miller, Scott Bonner, Glen Arnold, Noah Arnold and Franky Owens. Honorary Pallbearers are: Staff of the 3rd floor Watauga Medical Center, Dr. Frank Lauzau and Dr. Sharon Stafford. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at the Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ALS Foundation. Friends may also call at the residence, 1128 Drakes Creek Road, Trade, TN 37691 at anytime.
