Ms. Joan Marie Brotschul, age 76, of 239 Jess Jarrett Road, Roan Mountain, Tennessee, passed away at her resident on Thursday evening, March 18, 2010. She is the daughter of Leo A. Doris and Clara Wood Doris.

Survivors include her daughter; Laura Brotschul of Banner Elk, North Carolina, her son; Robert Brotschul and his wife Cheryl of Roan Mountain, Tennessee and her granddaughter; Casey Sutherland of Mountain City, Tennessee.

It was Ms Brotschul’s wishes to be cremated and no formal service will be held at this time. A private scattering ceremony will occur at a later date.
