videos.lifetributes.com/87655Mr. Joe Greenwell, age 67, of 1040 Greggs Branch Road, Butler, Tennessee went home on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at his residence, following an extended illness. Joe was the son of the late Tine Greenwell and Elsie Guy Greenwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathline Greenwell and Goldie Gregg, two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Smith and Dean Gregg, also by his best friend, Eddie Gregg. He was a member of the Sugar Grove Baptist Church, Butler, Tennessee. Mr. Greenwell was a retired foreman from the Ford Motor Company in Garden City, MI and was a member of the United Auto Workers. He loved riding and building motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife: April C. Greenwell of the home. three daughters: Ashley Greenwell, Trenton, MI, Lacey Greenwell, of the home and Savannah Greenwell, also of the home, three sons: Coty Greenwell, Chad Greenwell, and Zackary Greenwell, all of the home. Five sisters: Sue Ward, Gloria Greenwell and Linda Hatley, all of Butler, TN. Charlane Clawson, Dickson, TN, and Beth Smith of Elizabethton, TN. one Brother; Marty Greenwell, Elizabethton, TN. one grandson Jared. Special Friends: Wayne and Jenice Poe, Whitmire Lake, M,. Pam and Jessica Lions, Syracuse MI, and Eddie Roland, Detroit, MI, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Joe Greenwell will be conducted Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 7 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Bowman and Dr. Ray Sorrells officiating. A graveside service and interment will be conducted on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the Dugger Cemetery in Butler, TN. Pallbearers will be Chad Greenwell, Coty Greenwell, Martin Greenwell, Brandon Greenwell, Jim Greenwell, Jerry Pierson, and Wayne Poe.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday prior to the funeral services.
