Joe Manuel

Mr. Joe E. Manuel, age 89, of 683 Hospital Hill Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Saturday March 14, 2009 at the James H. Quillen V A Medical Center following a lengthly illness. He was a native of Ashe County NC, a son of the late J.T. Pless and Venia Manuel. Mr. Manuel was a retired veteran of the U S Army,was a member of God’s Country Church, loved to hear gospel music and preaching. In addition to his parents a brother, Albert Manuel and a sister Elizabeth Herdman preceded him in death.

 

Survivors are: Wife of 62 years Mae Miller Manuel, Mountain City,TN

    4 Sons :Billy Joe Manuel and wife Mary, Piney Flats, TN

  Ronnie Manuel and wife Paula, Mountain City,TN

  Gary Manuel, and wife Karen, Mountain City, TN

   Teddy Ray Manuel and wife Barbara, Lenoir, NC.

  1 Sister, Ovel Brown, Mountain City, TN

   9 Grandchildren,5 Great-Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

 

 

Funeral service for Joe E. Manuel will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from God’s Country Church with his Son’s , Billy Joe, Ronnie, Gary, and Teddy Ray



,officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, March 16, 2009, at Henson Funeral Home. Military graveside service will follow the funeral service accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard at the Main-Miller Cemetery, in Trade TN.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and friends, at God’s Country Church.
