Joe Morefield, age 43, of 210 Brenneman Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Johnson County, Tennessee he was born on September 3, 1961 to Ed and Helen Morefield of Butler, Tennessee. Joe was a member of Rock Springs Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his wife, Debbie Morefield of Mountain City, Tn; two daughters: Tequila Osborne and Joey Morefield; one son, Eddie Morefield, all of Mountain City, Tn; grandparents, Ruby and Gene McKinnis of Mountain City, Tn; three sisters; Kathy Morefield, Lori Cornell and husband Beaver, all of Butler, Tn and Sue Eggers and husband Darryl of Vilas, N.C.; two brothers: Jimmy Morefield and wife Sherry of Mountain City, Tn and Bob Morefield of Butler, Tn; four grandchildren: Lindsey Osborne, Kayleigh Arnold, Chloe Arnold and Thomas Icenhour and special friends: Ed Gentry, Uncle George and Crank, Benny Forrester and a host of other friends. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Joe will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Everette Morefield and Brother Harold Morefield to officiate. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005 from the Morefield Family Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Beaver Cornell, Jim Morefield, Crank Carlson, Darryl Eggers, Phil Mullins and Robbie Carlson. Honorary Pallbearers are: Ed Gentry, Uncle George, Jim Greer, Bob Morefield, Bud Morefield, PeeWee Church, Luke Cannon, Brandon Church and Dillon Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, prior to Services, from the Funeral Home Chapel. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Joe's parents, Ed and Helen Morefield, 229 Cobbs Creek Road, Butler, Tennessee 37640.
