John Ed Arnold, age 87, passed away at his residence in Hillsboro, Missouri, Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Mr. Arnold was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II.
Mr. Arnold was born December 2, 1919 to the late Wiley Arnold and Elizabeth Curry Arnold. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Tester Arnold; two sons, Edward and Jimmy Arnold; two sisters, Nannie Hartman and Beulah Mink; five brothers, Willie, Joe, Coolidge, David and Walter Arnold.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Kozlowski and husband James, of Hillsboro, Missouri; one sister, Rosa Lee Dunn of Mountain City, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kim and O. J. Tarwater of Hillsboro, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Kacie (Doozier Bug) Kozlowski and Kaleb Tarwater; several cousins. He was a special friend to all.
Funeral services for John Ed Arnold will be conducted Friday, August 10, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Mack Arnold and Rev. Ted Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. ? 7:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
Military graveside services will be conducted Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. from the Gambill Springs Cemetery accorded by Johnson County Honor Guard.
Active pallbearers will be O. J. Tarwater, Bill Tester, Tom Tester, Bob Arnold, Jack Arnold and John Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Anglemyer and Darrell Gilbert.
At other times, friends may call at the residence of Fred and Phyllis Anglemyer, 4829 Dry Hill Road, Butler, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, %Trula Muse, 239 Sunset Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
