John "Hippie" Dutton, age 67, 1420 Pine Orchard Road, Butler, TN passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 after a brief illness. Mr. Dutton was a Vietnam Veteran having served two tours in the U.S. Army. He was born December 17, 1946 in Akron, OH to John Everette Dutton II and Doris Wurts Dutton. He was of the Lutheran faith and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and bluegrass music. He was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Dutton. He is survived by: three daughters: Arla DeeDee, Donna and Heather; four sons: W.L., Bubba, Jay and Stu; one sister: Lynn Nelson; seventeen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; special friend Allen; and long distance wife "Mel". A military graveside service accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday February 2, 2014 in Dutton Cemetery with Mr. Terry Reece officiating. Active pallbearers will be Joseph, Jamie Lee, Curtis, Zack, Ken and Dusty. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny, Dave, Allen, Josh and Dallas. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 from the East Side Memory Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
