John L. (J. L.) Lewis, age 65, of 614 Rainbow Road, Mountain City passed away, Thursday December 28, 2006 at the Johnson County Medical Center. He was born August 13, 1941 to the late Dale and Pearl Pardue Lewis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Perry Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a Truck Driver, a U. S. Army Veteran having served in Germany, a member of the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge # 243 F & AM and attended the Roan Creek Baptist Church. Survivors: Include: One son: Wayne Lewis of Mountain City One daughter and husband: Eva and Josh Crosswhite of Mountain City Two grandchildren: Selisa White and John White of Mountain City Funeral services will be held 8:00 p. m. Saturday, December 30, 2006 from the Chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Rev. Derl McCloud to officiate. Masonic Services will follow the Funeral service accorded by the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge # 243 F & AM. Music will be under the Direction of Mr. Joe Simcox Graveside services and burial will be held 2:00 p. m. Sunday from the Rainbow Cemetery. Friends and family are ask to assemble at the Rainbow cemetery at l:45 p. m. Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Pardue, Terry Pardue, Boyd Pardue, Jim Crowder, James Harper and Jimmy Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Co-workers of Maymead. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p. m. Saturday Prior the services at the Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may also call at the family residence 614 Rainbow Road, Mountain City at anytime.
