Obituary for: Mr. John Paul Morefield, age 39, of 3059 Sugar Creek Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee passed away Thursday, July 10, 2003. He was born January 26, 1964 and was a native of Abingdon, Virginia but had lived in Johnson County all of his life. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Floyd Elmer and Lucy Morefield and Maternal Grandmother, Bessie Stout Potter. Mr. Morefield was a 1982 graduate of Johnson County High School, a Diamond Consultant and enjoyed reading, poetry and movies. Survivors include: Parents: Paul and Rose E. Potter Morefield, Laurel Bloomery, TN (1) Son: John Beaumont Morefield, Laurel Bloomery, TN (1) Sister: Sandy Morefield Blankenship and Husband Richard, Charlotte, NC (1) Nephew: Drew Kaleb Blankenship, Charlotte, NC Special Friend: Pamela Hawkins Pennington, Laurel Bloomery, TN Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for John Paul Morefield will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2003 from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Norris to officiate. Active Pallbearers will be: Roger Morefield, Ralph Morefield, Mike Morefield, John Riley Morefield, Todd Morefield, Peanut Morefield and Wayne Gentry. Honorary Pallbearers are: Henri Martin, Charlie Martin, Jimmy Moody, Richard Blankenship, Charles E. Morefield, Dwight Potter and Gale Potter. Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2003 from the Stateline Cemetery. The family will receive Friends from 6-8:00 p.m. prior to services at the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. Friends may call the residence at anytime.
