John A. "Jack" Silva, age 64, of 26 Treetop Lane, Banner Elk, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born August 20, 1942 to the late John Sr. and Goldie Griswall Silva. Mr. Silva was of the Catholic faith. He was a building contractor and enjoyed drag racing.

?Jack? is survived by: his wife, Nancy Moretz Silva; one daughter, Sonia Spence of Arizona; one son, John Jacky Spence of Arizona; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services for John A. ?Jack? Silva will be conducted Saturday, July 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Silva Family Cemetery on Mining Town Road in Mountain City, Tennessee.

Friends may call at the residence at any time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Avery County, North Carolina.
