Johnny H. Arnold, age 68, of 907 W. Main Street, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Johnson County Community Hospital. He was born on June 18, 1938 in Johnson County, Tennessee, to the late Sam and Blanch Curd Arnold. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Berry; six brothers: Claude Arnold, Bill Arnold, Jim Arnold, Arthur Arnold, June Arnold and Joseph Arnold and one granddaughter, Emmalee Helen Arnold. Johnny was a retired river boat employee. Johnny was an avid Nascar fan and of the driver Dale Jarrett #88 car. He was also a Washington Redskins fan. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain City. Johnny is survived by his wife, Lola Elliott Arnold, two daughters and sons-in-law: Sheila and Jerry Roark and Mary and Brian Roark, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Michelle Eller of Marion, Virginia, Steve and Drema Arnold and Brian and Delaina Arnold, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; two sisters: Mary Folk of Pennsylvania and Dorothy Brown of North Carolina; eighteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Jake Fritts and many, many more special friends and neighbors. Funeral Services for Johnny H. Arnold will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roy Dowell and Rev. Shannon Courtner to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Masters Touch. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the Service at the funeral home. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007 from the Sunset Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers are: David Branch, Hearley Guinn, Wayne Stout, Wayne Tester, Blaine Branch, John Hearley and Kevin Guinn. Honorary Pallbearers are: Eric Campbell, Jake Fritts, Hobe Dunn, Dr. Floyd Barker, Monroe Brown and Staff of Mountain City Care Center.
