Jolene Adkins

Jolene Clonch Adkins, age 68, of 1999 Forge Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 5th, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center, following a brief illness. A native of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, she was born on March 1st, 1938 to the late James Clonch and Dollie Stone Clonch. In addition to her parents, Jolene was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Hicks. She enjoyed flowers and picnics. Jolene was a homemaker and was a member of the Flint Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Betty Anderson, of the home; three sons: Wayne Adkins, Preston, MD; Bobby Adkins, Preston, MD; Jimmy Adkins, Fort Mill, S.C.; three sisters: Juanita Anderson, Faith, NC; Elizabeth Trexter Kannapolis, NC; Grace Hagler, Kannapolis, NC; five brothers: Monroe Clonch, North Wilkesboro, NC; Bob Clonch, Boomer, NC; W.H. Clonch, Elkin, NC; Donald Clonch, China Grove, NC; James H. Clonch, North Wilkesboro, NC; seven grandchildren: Amy Stout, Dan Anderson, Josh and Jamie Adkins, J.W. Adkins, Rachel Adkins, and Sarah Adkins; four great- grandchildren, Bobo Stout, Alana Adkins, Jamie Lee Stout, and Dalton Anderson. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Jolene Clonch Adkins will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Thomas and Rev. Brian Whitehead to officiate. Graveside Services will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers are: Dan Anderson, Jamie Stout, Bill Caldwell, Rick Courtner, Alton Clonch, Randy Clonch, and Bryce McCoy.
