Jon Smith

Jon Smith, age 52 of Johnson City, Tennessee. passed away on February 22, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Jon was born May 23, 1967 to E. Ray Smith SR and Geneva May Smith. Jonathan served in mission work from 1986 to 1988 in a Brazil mission. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Watauga Ward Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. He was an Eagle Scout, he loved working with the scouts, collecting old stamps, and militaria, Jon was a big Cincinnati Reds and Tennessee volunteers’ fan. He was a graduate of Johnson County High School Class of 1985. Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Jennifer Mullen Johnson City, Tennessee, daughter Camilla Smith of Johnson City, Tennessee son Johnathan Andrew Smith Jr. and Tammy of Craigsville, Virginia sisters Linda Rae Woodard and Dana of Mountain City, Donna Louise Gobble and Sam of Mountain City, and Sandra Lee Smith of Johnson City. Brother E. Ray Smith JR and Wanda of Mountain City, Grandchild, Alice Jane. Special friend April Sharpe, Johnson City, Tennessee. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. There will be a graveside service for Jon at Phillippi Cemetery in Mountain City, TN on Monday, February 24th, 2020 at 3 PM. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
