Josh Dollar

Josh Dollar, age 29, of 460 Johnson Hollow Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Nashville, TN. He was born November 28, 1986 to Tracy Shelton. He was a member of Liberty Christian Church and enjoyed singing, playing his guitar and walking. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Shirley Shelton; uncles Rick Shelton and Johnny Shelton and a cousin Brandy Main. Survivors in addition to his mother include: fiancé Allie Tester of Mountain City, TN; two sons: John Adam Scott Dollar and Elijah Eugene Nicklaus Dollar, both of Mountain City, TN; one brother: Scott Orndorf III of Mountain City, TN and his cousin, who was like a brother, Jonathan Shelton, of Mountain City, TN; several aunts, uncles and cousins and many, many special friends. Funeral services for Josh Dollar will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2016 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Mr. Larry Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside and interment will follow in Philippi Cemetery Active pallbearers will be Scott Orndorff, Ricky Ray Shelton, Brian Shelton, Will McKinnis, Bobby Davis, Jody Hargett, Stephen Dunn and Isiah Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin Pleasant, Robert Roark, Michael Mast, Robert Shelton, Dr. Trathan, Eric Main and Jeremiah Main. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dan Lipford, Matt Lipford and Doug “Doodle” Yarber for their help in bringing Josh home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory, to the care of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home, Mountain City, TN.
