We are saddened to announce the passing of Joy A. Wolfe, age 71, at Johnston Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 19, 2025. She was born January 5, 1954 to the late Dessie Maude Gentry. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Wolfe; two brothers: Jim Gentry and Ed Gentry; and one sister: Christene Fletcher.
Joy loved everyone. She was always smiling and enjoyed spending time talking with you. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter. Joy enjoyed listening to and watching the birds and she loved anything purple.
Those left to cherish her memory include: one sister: Georgia Isaacs; two brothers: Frankie Gentry and Charlie Gentry; one son: Robby Gentry and one granddaughter: Alexis Gentry.
A graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Preacher Roy Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Green, Chris Pierce, Brad Gentry, Tommy Poore, Shannon Courtner and Vance Gentry.
The family would like to extend our thanks to Dialysis and Amedysis for all their love and support. We would also like to thank Barbara Long and Jeanetta Lunceford for their caregiving support and taking such great care of her and a special thanks to the Johnson County EMS.
