Juanita Neaves Osborne, age 74, of 5738 Big Laurel Road, Creston, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital, Jefferson, North Carolina. She was born May 20, 1941 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Roscoe Neaves and Winnie Neaves. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Grace Goodman and Lenna Kay Hamby and one brother Wayne Neaves. She attended First Baptist Church, Mountain City, Tennessee. She was always smiling and quick to give complements, and loved telling stories of the past. She never met a stranger. Survivors include: her husband of 51 years, Wilmer Osborne; One daughter, Amy Osborne Penley and husband Daniel of Boone, North Carolina; Two sisters Sharon Thompson and husband Bob, Ashe County, N.C. and Karen Campbell, Ashe County, N.C; Four Brothers, Onis Neaves and wife Judy, Dale Neaves and wife Shirley, Claude Neaves and wife Lena, all of Ashe County, N.C. and Lanny Neaves and wife Linda of Franklinville N.C. Several nieces and nephews and special sister-in-laws Margaret McCloud and husband Jerry and Jenny Osborne and brother-in law Raymond Osborne and wife Mary also survive. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ricky Campbell to officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service. Graveside service will follow from the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men of First Baptist Church.
