Judy Ann Garland Cooper, age 57, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, TN passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 in Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC after an extended illness. She was born November 20, 1954 to Marjorie Ann Short Garland Shatley and the late Dewey Garland. She was a member of Little Doe Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Lula Short, Garrison and Flossie Garland. Survivors include: her mother and stepfather, Marjorie Ann Short Garland Shatley and Ray Shatley; one daughter: Teresa Poore; two sons: Steven Laws and David Cooper; sister: Angie Garland Berardi; stepbrother, Keith Shatley, stepsister, Debra Shatley; grandchildren: Savannah Poore, Tommy Poore, Chris Laws, Auburni Laws, Casey and Dustin Adkins; great grandchildren: Landon Poore and Blake Shaw; niece and nephew: Chriss Berardi and Heather Oliver and a great niece or nephew, baby Oliver; two aunts, Gladys Owens Jackson and Dean Garland and several cousins also survive. You fought a good fight. Proud to call you my momma, I Love you always, Teresa. Sissy, you will always be with me. You are a part of me and our bond will last forever. I Love you, you will always be my hero, Angie. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 from Rock Springs Cemetery with Rev. Steven Spencer officiating.
