Judy A. Miller, age 76, of Pine Street, Butler, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 27, 2024 at her residence. She was born September 23, 1948 in Carter County, Tennessee to the late R.L. White and Virginia Pierce White. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, George White and a sister, June Dale Hodge.
We called her mom and granny but deep down she was a true mother. Unconditional love, sacrifice, and never put her self first, she had the heart of an angel and the spirit of a warrior. Her life had never been easy but she wore her past hardships like armour. She built walls around her for a reason, but don't never take advantage of her kindness, you broke her trust. If she loved you and she did then you were there luckiest person in the world. Mom loved the Lord, and was faithful to him in good times and bad. Her granddaughter Gracie and daughter in law Jeannie and myself, John, were her life. The love and bond we had for mom was unbreakable. No-one in the world could have loved mom any stronger. Mom loved us and would sacrifice anything for us. Moms love for her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews was beyond measure. Mom, Granny loved watching birds on her porch and watching ballgames and especially YouTube. She never watched a game that her team didn't get cheated. She attended Faith Gospel Church, who loved and cared for her greatly. Her companion and best friend, Little Buddy, brought her many hours of comfort. We lost a true definition of a true loving mother. In moms own words "motherhood is wonderful and you love your child more everyday. you have a very long life responsibility and you have to be committed to that. You love your child, that never stops for no reason."
Judy was a retired seamstress with East Tennessee Undergarment and former employee of Levi Strauss & Co.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, John Hammett and wife Jeannie; four sisters, Evelyn Estep; Debbie Honeycut, Gail Elliott and Randa Dugger; two brothers, Harvey White and Richard White, beloved granddaughter, Gracie; several nieces and nephews, special niece and nephew, Addie and Parker; special friends, Members of the Faith Gospel Church, Members of the Freedom Fellowship Church and Members of Sink Valley Baptist Church.
