Kang T Hang

Kang Thao Hang, 64, departed for her heavenly home on Saturday, June 1st, 2013 at 9:15 AM. She was born on March 3, 1949 in Xieng Khouang, Laos to the late Chong Vang Thao and Mai Chang. Kang was the sister of four brothers and four sisters. In 1973, she married to the late Nhia Lee Hang. The couple moved to the states in 1979. She was the mother of nine children, four sons and five daughters and a grandmother of ten grandsons and ten granddaughters. Kang became a long time resident in Morganton, NC around 1983. She is a member of First Hmong Baptist Church of Morganton, NC. Kang was an employee with Levition Distribution for thirteen years. Kang loved spending her free time with her family and grandchildren. She also spent a majority of her time sewing traditional clothes and tending her gardens. The family will receive friends an hour before service on Friday, June 14, 2013, service at 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, service 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 16, 2013, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. at Morganton-Kirksey Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends for the remainder of the weekend on the 15th and 16th of June. The burial will follow the service on Sunday, June16th at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Mountain City, TN. Hux LIpford Is serving the Hang Family Locally
