Family was important to Annette and we all knew and felt her love. She also had many friends who have known and returned that love, have supported her in so many ways over the years, and will miss her sweet smile, thoughtful ways, and gentle spirit. Annette leaves behind a legacy of service and love. She worked as a paralegal in Johnson City and loved serving in her church in a variety of ways. She especially enjoyed singing in the church choir and kept the choir music organized and in good form. She and John served as foster parents and taught children and youth Sunday School. Annette loved to gift people with the results of her crocheting, and loved music, singing along to the radio, reading, and travel, especially road trips down country roads. Annette also loved her dogs and cats. Her current cat, Monkey, misses her lap.
The family will meet at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home in Mountain City for private moments on Friday Dec 19. Annette requested a private family graveside service at the Shoun-Goodwin cemetery in Doe Valley. Rev. Michael Lester and Rev. Douglas Grove-DeJarnett will officiate.
