Kathy Mae Holbrook, age 51, of 141 East Market Street, Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2003 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Lima, Ohio, she was born November 19, 1952 to the late Oscar Hamby and Louise Botchlett and had made her home in Johnson City most of her life. Kathy was preceded in death by her father and husband Johnny Holbrook. Kathy is survived by two daughters; Patricia Davidson and husband Timothy of Saltville, Virginia and Marie Crawford and husband Wayne of Kingsport, Tennessee, step-mother Virginia Hamby of Unicoi County, Tennessee, four brothers; Oscar Joe Hamby Jr., John F. Hamby both of Unicoi, Tennessee, Keith Burgner of Alabama and Bobby Hamby of Galveston, Texas, three sisters; Karen Sue Davis, Elizabeth Hammons both of Unicoi, Tennessee and Carlotta Rudd of Jonesborough, Tennessee, four grandchildren; Ashley, Christopher and Samantha Stollings of Saltville and Ashley Crawford of Kingsport, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 02, 2003 from Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church, Mountain City, Tennessee with Rev. Ted Lewis to officiate. Family will receive friends 6-7:00 p.m. prior to service.
