Katie Woodard

Katie Woodard, age 44, of 118 Mary Street, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away at her home on Thursday, December 30, 2004. A native of Banner Elk, North Carolina, she was born on January 5, 1960 to Roxie Lee Pleasant of Mountain City and to the late Gerald Burns. Katie was employed with Chetola Resort. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. Katie was of the Christian Faith. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Randall Woodard, of the home; one daughter, Stormy Burns; one son, Jerimiah Burns; one grandson, Matthew Roark; two sisters, Ramona Burns and Geraldine "Ginny" Grindstaff and husband Rick, all of Mountain City; two nephews, Richard Travis and Jesse Kyle and special friends, Kat and Harvey Dugger. Funeral Services for Katie will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2005 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Johnson to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2004 at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. At other times, friends may call at the home, 118 Mary Street, Mountain City, Tennessee.
