I’m Just A Cop

This is the life I chose, at a very young age. This choice was not without consequences.

It cost me dearly, loves, friends, family, time, holidays, blood and more.

As a result I never sit with my back to the door or windows.

I never leave home without a weapon, not even to go to church.

I never quit observing, scanning and anticipating trouble and danger.

Some loved me, others think I am sarcastic to say the least.

I always try very hard to make sure everyone is safe, to the best of my ability and training. Everywhere I go.

I am always ready to protect and serve everyone, whether I know them or not.

When I speak or write, I use words and phrases like aforementioned, relative to, affirmative, negative and know what I mean.

I always have the back of any law enforcement officer, firemen, or EMT, in any way I can.

I will never retire, my oath has no expiration date!

It was never just a job for me. It is a calling. This was my choice and a gift from God.

When my watch is over and my time on Earth is done, I will go to my just rewards and face my Lord and State!

I AM JUST A COP REPORTING MY LORD, I’VE SERVED MY TIME IN HELL!
