Keith Wayne Huffman

Keith Wayne Huffman, age 69, of Shady Valley, Tennessee lost his battle to cancer but gained his victory on Thursday, September 12, 2024.  He was born February 3, 1955 to the late Howell Huffman and Nina Sams Huffman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Toni Huffman Keeler and brothers, Billy Huffman and Michael Huffman.

Keith was a member of King Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, carpentry, camping and fishing.  He was a member of The Elizabethton High School  graduating class of 1973. He was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1973-1977, went to the Arney Hill Vocational School for cabinet making, attended college in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated in 1984 as a Lumber Inspector and a member of The National Hardwood Lumber Association.  Keith worked as a lumber inspector, was a mill rite and a sawyer to several local and regional sawmills.

In addition to his loving wife of 42 years, Sherry Huffman, those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Timbra and husband, Jamie Wright; son, David and wife Mary; sister, Pamela Arnett;  grandson, McRhea (Mac), granddaughter, Alice and new granddaughter, Naomi Sage who was born on September 7, 2024; aunts, Jane, Polly and Shirley and Mary Katherine.  Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service for Keith will be held Saturday, September 14,2024 at 7 pm at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Larry Pierson and Tom Reece officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm - 7 pm prior to the funeral service.  At other time the family will be receiving friends at the residence. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 2 pm at Blevins Cemetery with military honors to be accorded by The Johnson county Honor Guard.
