Obituary for: Kelly Allen Snyder Kelly Allen Snyder, age 54, of 419 Old Butler Road, Mountain City passed away Monday, March 15, 2004 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born November 10, 1949 a native of Johnson County, having lived many years in Michigan, until returning to Mountain City 18 years ago. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hester Arnold Snyder and also by a brother, Eddie Snyder. He was a Carpenter and a Vietnam Army Veteran having served two terms. He attended the Antioch Baptist Church in Mountain City and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Michigan. Survivors include his wife, Vickey Snyder of Mountain City; two daughters: Amber Woodell and fiance, Tony Foster, of Mocksville, NC, Rebecca Baker, and husband, Jonathan of Johnson City, TN, Kelly Jane Gwinn and fiance, Tim Cornett of Mountain City; one sister, Joan Peters and husband, Tom of Marquette, MI; four grandchildren: Alexander and Rachel Woodell and Robert and Megan Gwinn. One niece and two nephews also survive. A memorial service for Kelly Allen Snyder will be held 2:00 p. m. Thursday from the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Campbell to officiate. Military graveside services will be held at the Arnold Cemetery accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p. m. Thursday at the Antioch Baptist Church. Friends may also call at the residence, 419 Old Butler Road, Mountain City at anytime. Donations may be made to the Johnson County Cancer Support Group c/o Flo Bellamy, 3510 Highway 421 North, Mountain City, TN 37683. Henson Funeral Home is serving the Snyder family.
