Leon Guy, age 35, of 657 Jena Beth Drive, Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Johnson City, Leon was born on January 29, 1970 to Lois Greenwell Guy of Butler, Tennessee and the late Hobert Guy Sr. In addition to his father, Leon was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Guy, who passed away in 2004 and one niece, Roxanne Guy, who passed away in 2001. He was a 1991 Graduate of Johnson County High School and was a former football and basketball Assistant at the High School. Leon was a huge Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tennessee Vols Fan. He was a member of Little Doe Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, Leon is survived by his fianc, Lori Reeves of Elizabethton, TN; Lori's son and Leon's "special little buddy", Nathaniel Reeves, also of Elizabethton, TN; one sister, Frances Guy; one brother, Dwight Greenwell, both of Butler, TN;nephew, Dewey Guy, Bulter, TN several uncles, aunts and cousins; a favorite uncle, John Payne and special friends, Scottie Campbell and J.R. Campbell. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2005 from the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Hobbs to officiate. Active Pallbearers will be J.R. Campbell, Scotty Campbell and former JCHS Basketball Players. Honorary Pallbearers are: John Payne, Lon Greenwell, Billy Joe White, Gervis Greenwell, Bobby Greenwell, Harry White and all of the Doctors and Healthcare Providers that assisted Leon during his life. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel, prior to Graveside Services.
