Leota Main Greer, age 96, of 9668 Highway 421 South, Trade, Tenn. went home to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 11, 2004 at the Pine Ridge Care Center in Elizabethton following a brief illness. Mrs. Greer was born June 21, 1907 to the late Frank and Nancy Elizabeth Snyder Main and was also preceded in death by three brothers: Ted, Ed and Gilman Main; three sisters: Ruby Church, Margie Collins and Pearl Main; and one greatgrandchild, Adam. She was a homemaker, loved to quilt, take care of her grandchildren, and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Abe and wife, Topsy Greer, of Trade; two grandsons: Kent and wife, Heidi Greer of Trade, and Stephen and wife, Dawn Greer of Nashville, TN; five sisters: Helen Farmer of Trade, Grace Forrester of Mountain City, Homa Wallace of Trade, Muriel Wallace of Trade, and Peggy Burkett of Zionville, N. C.; one brother, Chase Main of Trade, and three great grandchildren: Summer, Preston and Donald. Special friends, Regina Matheson and sister-in-law, Louine Main Wilson along with several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Leota Main Greer will be held 8:00 P. M. Tuesday from the chapel of Henson Funeral Home with Rev. Derick Wilson and Rev. Gary Gambill to officiate. Graveside service will be held 10:00 A. M. Wednesday from the Greer Cemetery in Trade. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7 till 8:00 P. M. Tuesday prior to the services at the funeral home. At other times, friends may call at the home of Abe and Topsy Greer, 1045 Drakes Creek, Trade, TN.
