Lesia Diane Cox

Lesia Diane Cox, age 63, of Creston, North Carolina, passed away on January 4, 2026. She was born July 14, 1963 to the late Jessie Lee Osborne and Marie Hodges Osborne. In additon to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Cox and a brother, Donnie Osborne.

Lesia had a variety of hobbies and interests that reflected her joyful spirit. She had a passion for collecting wolves, bears, and an assortment of what-nots, In her earlier years, she discovered the thrill of horseback riding, a pursuit that brought her close to nature and serenity. Leisa, enjoyed cooking and cleaning and most importantly, she took immense pride in her family and found joy in every moment spent with them.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Tyler Cox of the home and Michael Blevins (Reba) of Mountain City; a brother, Danny Osborne of Ashe County; three grandchildren, Hunter, Brady and Zander Blevins and several nieces and nephews.  

A funeral service for Lesia will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Terry Woods to officiate.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service hour.  There will a private graveside service. 

Pallbearers will be Adam Osborne, Richard McCoy, Doran Holman, Zack Walker, James Osborne and Tyler Cox.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that monetary donations be made to Hux & Lipford Funeral Home to assist with the services.
