Lewis "Lew" Arnold, age 74, of 161 Hamby Lane, Mountain City, TN passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, TN. He was born January 27, 1942 in Neva, Tennessee to the late Marshall R. Arnold and Opal Dean Tester Arnold. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Margret Arnold and a son Gerald Arnold and a sister Nancy Connor. Lewis was a member of Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed raising chickens and pigeons.
Survivors include: two daughters: Tammy Griffin and husband Edwin of the home, Deborah Dickens and husband Norman of Laurel Bloomery, TN. Three sons: Jimmy Ward, Lenoir, N.C. David Ward, Lenoir, N.C. and Timmy Arnold, of Oxford, PA. Fourteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service for Mr. Arnold will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016, from the East Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Courtner officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will be private.
