Obituary for: Lewis Roberts We are saddened to announce the passing of Lewis Roberts, age 80, on Thursday March 11, 2021 at the family residence. He was born October 3, 1940 to the late Hugh and Mamie Simmons Roberts. He was a US Navy veteran having served on the USS Laffery during the Cuban Bay of Pigs missile crisis. Mr. Lewis was a follower of Jesus Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Hugh Roberts. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Alice P. Roberts of the home; three sons: Josh Roberts of Athens GA, Joel Roberts and Joseph Roberts both of Johnson City, TN; three grandchildren: Nathan, Adelaide and Asher. A remembrance of life will be held 11 AM. Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. A re watch will be available on Pleasant Grove Baptist Church facebook.
