Lillie Belle Yoggerst, age 77, of 402 Atwood Street, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at her residence after an extended illness. A native of Ashe County, North Carolina, she was born on September 19, 1929 to the late John Monroe and Rosa Belle James Cornett. In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert "Jack" Yoggerst; one son, Kurt Yoggerst; one daughter-in-law, Linda Yoggerst; one son-in-law, Doug Pleasant; one grandson, Michael Wayne Moody, Sr.; eight sisters and three brothers. Lillie loved to work crossword puzzles and read books. She attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Sherri Moody and special friend, Dan Shupe of Mtn. City, TN, Jacque Pleasant of Mtn. City, TN; one son, Anthony John "Tony" and Susie Yoggerst of Mtn. City, TN; three sisters, Sarah Gouge of Jonesborough, TN, Cecillia and Larry Caudell, Sr. of West Grove, PA, Hazel and Bob Binkly of New Castle, DE; one brother, Bob and Darlene Cornett of Ashe County, NC; one sister-in-law, Ruth Cornett of Watauga County, NC; three grandchildren, Jason Moody, Anthony Yoggerst III, Zach Yoggerst of Mtn. City, TN; one great grandchild, Michael Wayne Moody, Jr. of Mtn. City, TN; several nieces and nephews, special friend, Melba Lewis of Mtn. City, TN. Funeral services for Lillie Belle Yoggerst will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Norman and Rev. Dan Little to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the services at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted on Sunday, March 11, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Jack Price, Terry Roark, Jerry Roark, Joe Price, Everett Mahala, Mike Poteet, Jim Moody & Larry Snyder.
